Beep Test

Have you ever done a beep test before? On the first week of school I went to the courts to do my beep test. My whole class came with me because it would of been hard to do everyone one person at a time. I went to do my beep test so I can gage fitness level. A beep test is a test, and you have to run to a line that is 20 metres away and back. If you don’t make it before the beep sounds you are out.

I think I had a great score of 6.3, but I think I could have done better. Before we even started the test I was feeling nervous about it. I had made it to level six and started to slow down which meant that I was just making to the line before the beep.

The beep test was a challenge for me because it was the first time I had done a beep test. I think that I did good in my beep test and can’t wait for the next one so I can beat my score, I am aiming to get a score of 7.0 in week five when my class goes for the beep test again.

2012 London Olympics

Are you excited about the London Olympics? I know I am. We are one day away from the 2012 London Olympics. The Olympics only come once every four years. I don’t usually watch the Olympics but this year I am going to watch anything I can. Over all the years that the Olympic games have played, London will be the first country to have hosted the Olympics three times, in the years 1908, 1948 and this year 2012.

In 2008 at the Beijing Olympics Michael Phelps won the most gold medals in one game. Michael Phelps competed in the swimming events and  won eight gold medals, and this year he is going to try and make it sixteen gold medals. I think Michael Phelps will glide through the swimming pool and smash his opponents.

I can’t wait to see Usain Bolt win. I reckon that Yohan Blake fluked his win in the sprints against Usain Bolt. Usain Bolt will be competing in the 100m sprint, 200m sprint and the 4x100m relay. I will definitely be watching Usain Bolt because there lots of talk about Yohan Blake and Usain Bolt. Who do you think will win.

It’s time to rock and roll with the 2012 London Olympics.

Olympic Flag

The new Olympic Flag made its debut at the 1920 games in were held in Antwerp, Belgium. Pierre de Coubertin was the man who designed the new olympic flag.  I wonder how Pierre de Coubertin came up with the idea to make the flag?  He chose the five ring to symbolize five continents. There are six colours on the flag.

During maths time after interval I learnt a little bit about equivalent fractions.
