Character Description

Tall like a tree my wonderful teacher Mrs Nua has blond hair. She has a nice smile on her face every day... But if you do something bad you will see the beast unleashed on the spot. Although Mrs Nua gets angry sometimes she is a wonderful teacher.
Mrs Nua is thoughtful and funny. She likes teaching us new things every day and she does it with laughter and makes it fun not BORING!. But  If you talk and don’t get your work finished you will get the eyes of doom! straight away.
Mrs Nua has coached a variety of netball teams. Mrs Nua should be a netball player herself because she is so  good at that sport. I don’t really like the sport netball but even when Mrs Nua is  teaching her netball, I noticed that she l teams she looks like she wants to play with them on the court.
Even though Mrs Nua growls us sometimes she still gives us the luxury of playing games. I like playing games with Mrs Nua because we get to play a variety of games. When we don’t listen to Mrs Nua we get the big eyes at us and the others laugh when it happens.

This is just a practice of my character description of Mrs Nua. My next character description will be about my Nephew Hendrix so stay tuned.

Kiwi Kick

Filled with excitement I was ready to learn a sport called Kiwi kick or AFL ( Australian Football League), because I saw heaps of other classes playing it and had to do work in class boring! . We had two awesome professional coaches that came to teach us some basic skills, one called Sam (nickname Sandwich) and the other was Mike. After been introduced we had to go over a few reminders about the rules.

After the reminders we got straight into the games, the first game we played was a warm up game which was called still tag. Still tag is a game of running and flexibility because you need to be able to sidestep people when they try to tag you.

My favourite thing about going to kiwikick was learning the skills. My favourite skill that I learnt was the drop punt because I enjoy kicking a AFL ball around. The thing that I most enjoyed was been able to learn these wonderful skill with the great coaches we had.

The skills that I have learnt so far will do good for me as I play sports for the school. To be the first day of Kiwi Kick I enjoyed myself while learning the skills. Learning these skills have been good for me as I am not as skillful as others. I can’t wait to go to Kiwi Kick next week.

Kiwi Kick

On a sunny Thursday, room 22 and room 20 went out to learn about Kiwi kick or AFL ( Australian Football League)  where we learn how to play an awesome game and also how to do awesome kicks.

When we arrived to the courts we saw two guys that  were as tall as a tree one of their names were Sam ( Nickname Sandwich)  and the other guys name was Mike, after they had introduced  themselves we had to go over a few reminders about the previous time we had them.

After the reminders we got straight into but first we had a little game just to warm up our legs, the game was called in still tag, the instructions were : Tag anyone, but if you get tagged you have to sit down and watch their every move so when they get tagged you can get back up.

Soon after the game had finished and we were all warmed up, ready to learn new accurate kicking skills, after Sam and Mike talked about the basic skills they had told us to get into partners, each partner had a name I was named the Polar Bear and my partner was named a Penguin.

After a lot of fun kicking the ball around, we got put to the test by Sam and Mike, we had a little challenge between The Penguins vs The Polar Bears, we had to see who is the best kicking skills. The Penguins were the first team up they were pretty good but good enough it was The Polar Bears turn I was Everybody kicked the ball including with luck I managed to curve the ball and hit the pole and with that we had won.

We had beat the Penguins 12 to 16 making The Polar Bears the best, what a awesome day at kiwi kick, “I can't wait until next week.” I told my friends.

Van Goghs style

Vincent Van gogh is a famous artist that was very well known when he died. When he was alive he only sold one of his amazing paintings. His technique when he paints is very rough and has lots of layer. Layers that contain different colours.

Learning About Pablo Picasso

This term at Pt England school our theme is called Art alive, so during the first week of school we had a rotation around all of the classes in team five to learn about different artists. The artist that stood out for me was pablo Picasso.
Picasso was born at Malaga Spain 1881. Picasso’s style is referred to as cubism, his work deals with perspectives and angles. in. Also when he paints his painting is random. In the twentieth century Picasso changed his style because he experimented with different techniques and ideas. Picasso was a Spanish painter, dutchman and did sculptures.
