Netbook Reflection 2012

This year was the second year that I had a netbook. I like having a netbook because it is easier to work on, with all the gadgets you need. I have the internet within five minutes that is one of the things I like having a netbook. You can play games in your free time you can download games from ubuntu software, learn from them too. I like playing on tuxmath it helps me to get faster and smarter at my maths. I LOVE having a netbook because I can learn more about the new technology we have here in the 20th century. The internet has been more stronger this year because at my house pretty much anywhere I go I can get TLN Manaiakalani. The only negative I have is the internet because it sometimes plays up and it runs slow for us but at least it’s better than last year!
I like working on my netbook 24/7 because if I haven't finished my work at school I can work on it at home. Also we have got access to find out about the latest news and see when and where an event is happening like, the Panmure Santa parade.

Hendrix Character Description

I have a nephew that has curly hair and chubby cheeks do you? My nephew has this little cheeky smile every morning. His cute little eyes make me feel sorry for him when he’s crying.
   When my nephew and I play he always gets loud and makes every one angry at him. Most of the time Hendrix has lots of energy. When he gets in trouble he hits me as if I was the one who got him in trouble.
   Running around the house with a loud voice could only be one person in my house and that person is Hendrix. He likes playing wrestling with me and if I don’t he’ll start crying. Every time I’m playing with a rugby ball he wants to play with the ball I’m using even though he just had one. My nephew loves rugby so much that he trys to sing the National Anthem all time even when there is no game on, He is actually becoming quite good at it maybe one day he will sing it at an opening match...
   At times it can get annoying having  to play with Hendrix but I do enjoy kicking the ball around with him because he thinks I’m chasing him and that makes him laugh. with Hendrix but I do enjoy kicking the ball around with him because it makes him laugh as he chases it across the yard.  Sometimes we even play rugby in the lounge which my mum doesn’t like, only because she gets worried about us smashing the glass on the wall unit door, but when she hears him laugh she doesn’t seem to mind too much.  On Fridays we either lay in bed or sit on the floor watching wrestling, Hendrix is a big fan of wrestling  but gets scared when undertaker comes out or when his theme music begins to play. I’m not sure why this is but maybe it has something to do with the visual effects because it can be quite scary if you’re  not  used to it.

Camp Day 3

On day three of Camp Respect 2012 the year 7&8’s went to Swimarama for the last day of camp. As I was in line for the diving board, it was my turn to go up to jump but as I was climbing the ladder one of the teachers Mr. Harris came and asked me if I watch the Rugby League then I turned around and notice the Vodafone Warriors. I said out loud “forget about the diving board the Warriors are here”!.
I ran over as fast as I could and jumped into the pool cheering them on. The first warrior to jump in was Manu Vatuvei he did a bomb as he came in. The warriors that I saw were Ben Matulino, Shaun Johnson, Lewis Brown and Kevin Locke.
The sad thing about Kevin Locke is that he didn’t come into the pool. We started to cheer Kevin Locke but he still didn’t come in. If you click on this link you will be on the warriors site and you can watch the footage of them. That last day of camp was the best last day of camp ever in my life so far.

Tent Instructions

The equipment you will need:
*Guy ropes*Tent
*Tent Fly
*Mallet
*Pegs
*Teamwork
*At least two people
*Poles

Next step 1: Get your tent out and lay it flat down on a dry surface.
Next step 2: Now Gather all the equipment you will need.
Next step 3:Unwrap the tent and taut it flat on the ground .
Next step 4:Get out your poles and pegs.
Next step 5: Now you need to use a mallet to peg the pegs into the given holes so your tent will stay where you put it.
Next step 6: Connect the poles.Now connect them to the bottom bases.
Next step 7:Clip up the clippers and tie up the tent at the top
Next step 8: you now need to peg all the guy ropes
Next step 9:Put on your fly and peg it down .Now strap up the velcro ties
Next step 10: Tie the strings at the top of the tent to the glass poles securely
Next step 11:Test out your tent.Make sure nothing wrong with your tent.
Next step 12: Now there is nothing to do but to sleep in your tent.

Netball

Learning about netball is a great advantage for me because I get to learn skills before the game starts. If you’ re not playing this sport I think you are missing out on a hole lot of fun!

My class room twenty two went to netball practice last Thursday and had an awesome time. We were leaning some netball skills with our very own coach Liz. We learnt our skills on our school courts. We learned them during our class time. The reason why we learn these skills is to get better at what we do.

As the sun shone like an oven on fire we stated to play a game learning about our balance. With some thing similar to a hurdle, in the middle of our teams we jumped over the mini hurdle and landed using the correct balance. As well as jumping over the hurdle the team opposite us passed the netball.

Even though it was extremely hot I still had an awesome time at netball for the first in 2012. I can’t wait until next weeks netball I’m so excited! Netball here I come.
