Cross Country

Waiting anxiously for the sound of a clap. Hearing Mr. Burt saying “ready set”, standing there with butterflies in my stomach. “clap” I slipped having to speed up to keep up with the starting group.. Then I slowed myself down to conserve my energy for the rest of the race.

I squished through the brown gooey slush barely making it through the massive mud bath that was once a soft green field. My shoes encapsulated by the thickness of the boggy ground. suddenly my sock was drenched in gooey messy mud. I could just imagine what my mum would say to me as soon as I step foot into my house.

Running through the bush walk with my feet really hurting because I had no shoes on. Trying to run fast, but not being able to because of all the rocks and stones. I was feeling very sore After all of that running. I hope that next year I will do good and maybe come fifth or sixth.

Animators Apprentice

Raenan Animator from Team 4 Pes on Vimeo.

The Extension group of 20 students met three amazing people last week on Thursday, Maka, Ali and Nils. Those three men are from the Animators Apprentice. The Museum runs something called ‘I am making movies’ and they got the three of them to teach us their wonderful skills.

Maka, Ali and Nils taught us about the History of animation. They had a slide show to shows us with a little bit of fun. We played a game where we had to guess what the picture is. Did you know that the very first sounded movie was ‘Mickey Mouse’.

Life Ed Caravan

For the first 3 weeks of school my class went to the Life Ed caravan to learn. One thing that I learnt was that there are 4000 chemicals in a cigerette, that is a lot! Did you know that if you smoke cigerettes and don't give up you could have half of your jaw taken out and you won't be able to talk properly. I am going to make the right choice and not smoke when I grow up because it is very bad for you. Choices have consequences.
