Waiting anxiously for the sound of a clap. Hearing Mr. Burt saying “ready set”, standing there with butterflies in my stomach. “clap” I slipped having to speed up to keep up with the starting group.. Then I slowed myself down to conserve my energy for the rest of the race.
I squished through the brown gooey slush barely making it through the massive mud bath that was once a soft green field. My shoes encapsulated by the thickness of the boggy ground. suddenly my sock was drenched in gooey messy mud. I could just imagine what my mum would say to me as soon as I step foot into my house.
Running through the bush walk with my feet really hurting because I had no shoes on. Trying to run fast, but not being able to because of all the rocks and stones. I was feeling very sore After all of that running. I hope that next year I will do good and maybe come fifth or sixth.
